On Friday 15th June and Tuesday 19th June, Years 6 – 12 enjoyed days at the beach full of activities encouraging them to mix with other year groups. We were particularly pleased to have the Year 6s with us on the Tuesday, as this we hoped would help with their transition from Primary to Secondary, by spending more time and doing activities with the Secondary pupils. The sun shone for us on both days, so we set up our gazebos and got the sunscreen ready. The students enjoyed some free time and different activities, including giant Jenga, beach tennis, volleyball and a sand structure building competition. The Year 8s also challenged the staff to a football match and despite their valiant effort, taking a 3-1 lead, the staff ran out winners 5-4. The Year 9s, 6s and 7s all stepped up to challenge the staff as well, but again were all defeated. They were great days and it was so encouraging to see many different year groups mixing with each other and making new friends.
