Dear Parents,

In this curtailed week, I would like to begin by congratulating all those who took part in the COBIS Music Festival the other day. It was a truly excellent event in which, this year, we improved on last year’s remarkable achievements with two outright winners, two second places and one third place – amazing! Equally excellent was yesterday’s annual Swimming Gala – again, a fantastic event and well done to Gaudi House, the eventual winners.

Staffing

Given Mrs Shaw’s and Mrs Rumistrzewicz’s departures, we have appointed two teachers for September. One is Mrs Raspison, who many of you will know already. Mrs Raspison is a fully qualified teacher who has already been teaching part-time within the school, whilst studying for her Master’s degree. The other will be a new teacher to our school, Mr Mills, who is joining us from the Regent School in Dubai. I am sure you will join me in welcoming them in September.

Sadly, after seven years at our school, we will be saying goodbye to Dña Carceles, who will be moving to the UK this summer to join her partner there. Of course, we will thank her ‘properly’ at the end of term and wish her well. Srta Herreros, who will also be familiar to many of you, has been appointed to take her place.

5th Annual Charity Summer Ball  – Friday 16th June – Intercontinental Hotel Mar Menor

Many thanks to all the parents and staff who have already purchased tickets for the Summer Ball and, for those who have not yet, there are still some available at the reception desk. Today is the deadline!

Please leave any prizes at reception with clear details of who has donated or, alternatively, you can contact Katya,  kchri39472@aol.com.  Thank you.

Have a great weekend.
