Well, it has certainly been an eventful week. It began with the Year 7 parents’ evening, then a fantastic interschool swimming competition (look out for the article on our website), followed by a ‘day out’ to our local hotel!
A few notices….
Firstly, to say thank you to you all for your patience and understanding yesterday. We have always had a ‘Crisis Management Plan’, which is one of the policies one is rarely (if ever!) required to enact. Thanks also to Dr van der Spoel, who was scheduled to visit us these last two days to give the children talks on Study Skills. He gave a fantastic impromptu session at the hotel yesterday. I must take this opportunity to thank Valdes, our bus company, who redirected buses, drivers and monitors. Also, my thanks to our friends at the La Torre Hotel, who provided our staff and pupils with accommodation at such short notice and also organised, together with our kitchen staff, all the food and refreshments for all there.
A fantastic team effort!

We have made further ‘internal’ appointments over the last week or so. Congratulations to Mrs Cassidy for her appointment as Head of Key Stage 2. Also to Mrs Fellows, Mrs Moss, Mrs Finney and Mrs Murphy who are our new Pupil Voice coordinators.
