Dear Parents,

Now that week 4 has come to an end, I would like to thank all those parents that came for our sing-along last Friday. I know many of you enjoyed the music (and doing the actions!) and a chance to join your child in song – do listen to the audio clip on Twitter.

I would also like to thank those of you who came to help with our second-hand uniform and who attended our first Charity Group meeting of the year. If you would still like to join, our next meeting will be before the Parents’ Coffee afternoon on 14th November. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

As always, a few notices….

NEXALIA’S NEW QUALITY DRIVE

As I mentioned in my last letter, a small group of parents have been invited to come next week to enjoy some of our school food and discuss issues with a representative from our catering company, Nexalia. More feedback on this soon.

Also, the Head Chef from our sister school in Madrid, will be visiting soon to look at quality and standards.

EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS

One last reminder that, if your contact details have changed since our last update, please could you let Isabel, at reception, know as soon as possible so that we can update our records. Isabel can be contacted at isabel.sanchez@kings.education.

STAFFING

Unfortunately, we still have a few staff away at the moment.

Mrs Brett is away on compassionate leave as is Mr Brett. As before, we are being assisted by Mr Santamaria from our sister school in Alicante to help with ICT, and Mr Dadd and Mrs Stackhouse teaching in Reception class. Miss Nevin, our Nursery TA, will remain on maternity leave. Mr Green, our Head of Wellbeing, is also sick at present and we wish him a speedy recovery.

As ever, we thank you all for your patience in this difficult time and we trust that we will return to a ‘full complement’ soon.

SPORTS EVENTS

We are now entering the sports season. As you know, we do a wide variety of sports at our school. These begin with a ‘bang’ next week with an inter-school Swimming Gala for Secondary teams in San Javier and in school, we will start our inter-House Handball competition….Other sports competitions on the horizon as always…
