Dear Parents,

This week we enjoyed our annual World Book Day celebrations, the day after the birthdays of our two national authors! Please do read the article on our website to see what our children did to celebrate this great day. On Wednesday, we welcomed the Local Advisory Group to discuss various school issues and developments – it is always great to hear parental views and ideas for further development.

Coffee Morning 3rd May

This month’s Parent Coffee Morning has an EYFS focus, entitled “In the Moment Learning in EYFS”. It will start at the usual time of 9.30 and will be followed, as usual, by our Charity Group meeting. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Summer School

A reminder that this year we have some new courses available in addition to those that we have offered in the past.  Please do take a look at these on our website at the links below.

10th Anniversary Ball – 2 June 2018

You will shortly be receiving an invitation to attend a 10th Anniversary Summer Ball which will be held on 2 June 2018 at Hotel La Torre Golf Resort.

Firstly, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Mr Snowden has been appointed as the new Deputy Head of our school. Many of you will already know him in his various guises over the years as Head of Teaching and Learning, Head of 6th Form, Physics teacher and, not least, a Maths teacher. I am very much looking forward to working with him closely for the future, as we continue to move our great school forward. Secondly, I am happy to say that Mrs Cassidy (Year 2 teacher and Head of KS2), will be our new Teaching and Learning Coordinator for Primary. Mrs Cassidy brings with her a wealth of experience and curricula knowledge and will also join us on the school leadership team. I am very much looking forward to working with them both in the years to come.

Unfortunately, Mrs Fellows has been ill and will be away for a little while yet. We are aware this has implications regarding preparation for various musical examinations and the COBIS Music festival preparations and are currently investigating solutions. We will let you know as soon as possible.
