Dear Parents,
While many of you, I hope, were enjoying the long weekend, my leadership team and I were busy with the rest of the leadership teams of King’s Group, attending the Group’s Strategy Weekend. This was an excellent opportunity to work with colleagues from our sister schools to continue on our mission ‘to provide a high quality education’ in an ever-changing world. Among other things, we discussed and reviewed our current Vision & Mission; marketing strategies; curricula provision; learning and teaching; current research developments and many other things in our continued pursuit of excellence. Suffice it to say, we were kept busy!
10th Anniversary Family Afternoon
Almost there! Our 10th Anniversary Family Afternoon is only three weeks away. I do hope you will be able to join us to celebrate this momentous occasion.
‘Smart’ watches and Electronic devices
With the proliferation of technology, there are inevitable concerns raised with certain devices. Recently, we have had some incidents of pupils with so-called ‘Smart’ watches (touch-screen, like an iPhone, watches) being used to record other pupils without their consent or knowledge. Of course, this is in contravention with our school’s policy and agreements signed by pupils (not to mention, illegal), and these individuals have been suitably dealt with. However, I would kindly ask parents to help and support us in reminding their children of the possible risks involved with these devices and, indeed, the legalities. Together, I am sure we can mitigate these issues. Many thanks in advance.
Extra Curricular Activities
Here at KCM, we provide excellent extra-curricular activities, which are incorporated in the school day for the convenience of parents (buses etc). This has been the case for some time, but it was made clear to us that parents were not fully aware of this excellent provision. For this reason, we have reviewed our webpage to more accurately reflect what we actually do, in terms of the variety of options your children currently enjoy.
Please do visit the new pages, which have been split into Primary, Secondary and Duke of Edinburgh. They can be found in the ‘School Life’ section, but I have included links here for your convenience:
