Dear Parents,

After a couple of long weekends, it has been business as usual this week. At the start of the week, our Primary children took part in the annual Interhouse Quiz, while some of our Secondary pupils took part in a football tournament in Elche – reports coming shortly to the website. We have also enjoyed our first of many visits from representatives of the University of Navarra, meeting with KS4 and 5 pupils.

As always, a few notices….

A few reminders regarding uniform. Please can I remind you, that with the onset of colder weather, coats need to be navy blue and that only school jumpers should be worn (when wearing normal uniform). If your child is arriving in PE kit for whatever reason, please make sure they are wearing the appropriate top.

Also, as a ‘heads up’, we will be changing to winter uniform as of Monday 5th November. Please can you make sure that your child has the appropriate attire. If you are unsure, please do refer to our website here:

I would like to gently remind you that the school blazer is compulsory for both boys and girls from Year 7 upwards and should be worn on a daily basis.

As I mentioned in my last letter, we will be undertaking our next inspection this coming week and the inspectors will be with us from Monday to Wednesday. Unfortunately, we will not receive our feedback until a few weeks later – at which point we will, of course, publish it and inform you all.

We have received some comments from you all, both positive and negative, regarding the new school menus. Of course, any feedback is gratefully received and we will inform our representatives from Nexalia.  In the meantime, please do contact Nurse Lorena at for any further information.

I am very pleased to say that we are almost running a full ship! Last week we welcomed back our Head of Wellbeing, Mr Green.

As I mentioned last time, I have written a very short article regarding how recruitment works in the British system. The idea of this  is to give you all some insight (I have kept it brief!) into the complexities of legislation and also to give you an idea of the lengths to which we go as a Group, to ensure that only the best teachers come to King’s College. Mon 22nd October                         Inspectors arrive

KS1 Assembly    – Fire of London

Wed 24th October                          Inspectors leave

With severe weather warning for our region this weekend, please do take care of yourselves and don’t venture out unless absolutely necessary.

With best wishes,

Mr Rumistrzewicz
