Dear Parents,

Our second full week back has now finished and things continue apace. I trust those parents who attended our various parent information evenings have enjoyed the opportunity to see what their child will be learning and where they are on their learning journey. For those of you who were unable to join us, please be advised that the presentations will be available on our website here

New Football Pitch

We apologise if there was some confusion with last week’s message. To clarify:

Children will need to wear the correct footwear on the new football pitch, i.e. sports shoes. If your child has the correct footwear, then they will be able to use it, of course.

For those children not wishing to play ball games, we have now created a large, new play area. Your child may wear whatever footwear they wish on this surface.

Internal appointments

It gives me great pleasure to inform you that these members of staff have been appointed to following positions:

Head of Maths  Mr Turner
Primary Literacy Coordinator  Miss Campbell
Head of Churchill House Mrs Turner (nee Miss Gallagher!)
Global Communications (Pupil Voice) Mrs Mitchell

Our new scholars

I am very happy to announce that this year we have awarded academic scholarships to the following Y12 students who achieved excellent results in their GCSE examinations.

Anastasia G, Kate R and Catherine K.

Very well done to them, once again and I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the very best for their new educational journey in our 6th Form.

Emergency contact details

If your contact details have changed since our last update, please could you let Isabel, at reception, know as soon as possible so that we can update our records. Isabel can be contacted at Many thanks in advance.

School gates

Please can I remind parents (and their children) to only use the pedestrian gate during ingress and egress of the school premises.

Equally, please can I remind parents not to drive in through the school gates or park across them. Many thanks in advance.

(Please note we will be postponing the School Photo and the Inter House triathlon to a later date).

Fri 21st Sept                            World Peace Day – (see separate letter)

Next week our Primary children (and some of their parents and staff) will be celebrating World Peace Day on Friday 21st with ‘One Day, One Choir’. I know a separate letter has gone out regarding this, so please do join us if you can.

Have a great weekend.

Mr Rumistrzewicz
