Last Friday 2nd March,  we hosted our annual Interhouse Singing Competition – every year the competition gets bigger, as does the determination to win!
We had three categories of performance, a song from years 1,2 and 3, a small group song and a whole house song to be performed by key stages 2 and 3 together. The theme for this year was ‘Animals’ and Houses were judged on the quality and complexity of the singing, presentation, overall enjoyment and appropriateness to the theme including the stage performance. Our judges this year were Mr Mills, Mr Conway (our singing and piano teacher), and Mrs Fellows.
Cervantes house won the categories for whole house song and years 1,2 and 3 song by a couple of marks. However,  Churchill won the category for small group by a considerable margin, ahead of any other house in that category! This meant that the winning house with the most marks overall was…..Churchill! What a turn up for the books!
Let´s see what happens next year!
Very well done to all Houses, staff and pupils who worked do tirelessly hard to make it such a great event!
