Dear readers,

Welcome to our special Christmas edition of the EYFS Hub! It is rather hard to believe that we have already completed our first term of the new academic year, and we can all see just how hard the children have worked and how they have grown as individuals in such a short space of time.

December is certainly the busiest month of the year for the Early Years department, and the children have taken part in a mountain of art and craft activities, including making Christmas cards and presents for their families. Our Christmas Fayre was as popular as always, and some children even had the opportunity to meet a very special visitor! Father Christmas himself managed to find the time in his busy schedule to come and greet the children and give them a present before the big day!

Amongst all the festivities, the children have worked tirelessly, practising songs and lines for our most favourite show of the year, the Nativity. We had a variety of beautiful costumes, from stars to wisemen, and there was even a spaceman dance! There certainly wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the children performed, and what a performance it was too! Below you can see some of the children in action!

Well done to all the children for their hard work, to the staff for their help, dedication and time to make the Nativity such a success, and to all the parents for the wonderful costumes!

Thank you all for continuing to read our monthly editions of the EYFS Hub; we look forward to our next edition in 2018! From all of us in the Early Years Department, we hope you have a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year!
