With an all singing and all dancing cast of 19 KS3 students, King’s College staged a musical production of Annie.  The extremely talented Sofia Q. took on the role of Annie and alongside Samantha K., Lucía G. and the rest of the cast, sang their hearts out to classic songs, such as ‘Tomorrow,’ ‘It’s A Hard Knock Life’ and ‘Maybe.’

Annie is the tale of an orphan who dreams of finding her own mother and father and to escape the clutches of Miss. Hannigan and the hard life imposed upon her in the lonely orphanage.  Her fortunes change when Miss. Farrell (Samantha K.) appears there, looking for an orphan to spend some time through the holidays with her billionaire boss, Miss. Warbucks (Lucía G.).  Miss Warbucks offers a reward of $50,000 for Annie’s parents to come forward.

Megan W. gave another memorable and outstanding performance as the mean and horrible orphanage caretaker Miss. Hannigan.   Miss. Hannigan is visited by her con artist brother Rooster (Sofía C.) and his girlfriend, Lily St. Regis (Jessica S.). Together, they plot to pose as Annie’s parents to gain the reward, but their plan backfires…

Thank you to all the students for all their hard work and for putting on a fantastic performance last week. Well done everyone!
