Please note: The age of a child, as relevant to a particular year group, is calculated in Spain on the calendar year. For example, children who enter Year 1 in September will have reached the age of 5 by December 31st. If they reach the age of 6 by December 31st they will be placed in Year 2. Nevertheless, children coming directly from the UK, for example, will continue to follow the UK age groupings in order to give continuity in their education.
In all schools in the King’s Group the admissions process is selective. Priority is given to children with a good level of English, with brothers or sisters already studying at King’s College and to children of ex King’s College pupils.

Pre-Nursery

For children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years the only requirement is to present the official application form and necessary documentation.

Nursery

In September of the calendar year when children reach the age of three (i.e. up to December 31st) they join a Nursery Class. In order to do so, parents must complete and return the official application form to be found at the back of the brochure and send in a recent report from the child’s current Pre-Nursery School (where applicable). The Admissions Department will inform all parents about the availability of places when the admissions procedure commences each year.

If a place is available, an appointment will be made for parents to visit the school.

Reception

In September of the year that children are four, they join a Reception Class. In order to do so, parents must complete and return the official application form to be found at the back of the brochure and send in all the necessary documentation. The Admissions Department will inform all parents about the availability of places when the admissions procedure commences each year.

If a place is available, an appointment will be made for parents to visit the school.
