I hope you have had a good week! Welcome to my first Head’s Letter. I hope to use this letter to update you on what is going on in school, share our successes and keep you informed of any important dates or events. I have also sometimes used my weekly letter to share what I have been reading in the education sphere and share links and websites which may be of use to you all.

These are open meetings to get to meet you all and listen to your thoughts and feelings about the school and any suggestions you have for us.
International GCSE and A level Exams
This week and as you have already been informed by Mr Snowden we received the news from Pearson that they are cancelling exams for its international GCSE and A Level series and instead will use teacher assessed grades.
This week we have begun to do our termly fire drills. I can report that the first one went very well and the children were very responsive and sensible.

Carnival 12th February

Unifrog Presentation (Years 2 and 13)
Many thanks to Dr O´Brien for the excellent meeting to showcase Unifrog which holds the world’s biggest database of Post 16 and Post 18 opportunities. Every pathway is covered – from Traineeships and Intermediate, Advanced, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, to every course taught at Further Education colleges, to every UK university course.
This and last week Sr Puente has arranged online talks and some universities like Universidad de Comillas ICADE, CEU San Pablo, Universidad de Navarra, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena or UCAM have been answering their questions and talking to our pupils about their academic offer, how to apply and when, what to study and all the different and exciting possibilities they will have in their near future.
Have a lovely weekend!
