I trust you all enjoyed the long weekend and the start of phase 3 for our region. Certainly, I have witnessed first hand, here in Cartagena, the start of the return to some semblance of normality.
This week I have been to visit the school again and staff have also been working behind the scenes to prepare for the finale of the academic year. Next week we will be celebrating our annual Prizegivings and our Year 13 graduation. Of course, these occasions will have a slightly different feel, as we will be doing them remotely. But even so, we will be inviting parents to join us for each event at the usual allotted times (please see ‘Upcoming Events’ below).
Also, we are looking into the logistics of parent consultations on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th throughout the day. So please look out for communications from us in the early part of next week as to how to book your ‘slot’.
This week, we have also had the start to our ‘Virtual Olympics’ and Key Stage 2 pupils have been working hard with their singing and preparing the school song for the year – complete with Bitmojis! Not to mention lessons, of course, which have continued as usual.
As I have mentioned before, we are very much aware of our pupils’, staff’s and parents’ wellbeing during this difficult time. Eventhough the end of the year is almost upon us, we would still urge you to make use of our school counsellor, Srta. Elena Sanz, for any support or, indeed, your child’s form tutor, or head of Key Stage. Please do get in touch.
