Dear Parents,

This week was to begin with a visit from the Chairman and CEO of Inspired Group, Mr Nadim Nsouli. Unfortunately, the weather intervened and he had to postpone his trip until next week, so we will look forward to welcoming him and Sra Benito on Monday morning.

Congratulations to our runners last weekend. I won’t go into detail here, but please do read the article on our website

Thank you to all the parents who attended the Year 9 and 11 options evening this week. I am sure you found it most informative and helpful in terms of helping your son or daughter decide which GCSEs and A Levels they would like to pursue in Key Stages 4 and 5.

This week our Year 11, 12 & 13 pupils benefitted from a visit to one of our local Universities, UCPT in Cartagena. They had the opportunity to visit the campus, speak with students and professors in different departments and get a feel for life at University, all aimed at helping them make decisions about their future studies and careers.

Also this week, many pupils have been auditioning for our King’s Variety Show (aka ‘King’s Has Got Talent’), taking place next Friday. As you know, this is an opportunity for pupils of all ages to showcase their talents, whether they be singing, dancing, playing music, stand-up comedy or, indeed, magic. Parents are most welcome, though I do warn you it may be ‘standing room only’!

A short letter this week….

Some parents have brought to my attention their concerns about paying an additional fee as part of the re-enrolment procedure. Please be reassured that no re-enrolment fees are payable  to confirm your child’s continuation in September 2020. However, as set out in our school policy, please note that one full term’s notice must be given for the €600 deposit (paid at the time of registration) to be refunded, should your child leave school in June.

Secondary Parents’ Evenings and Curriculum Events

The coming week will be the final week in which the UK will be part of the EU. As ever, we trust that events will run smoothly and those in government will ensure plain sailing through these uncertain waters.

With my best wishes for a restful weekend,

Mr Rumistrzewicz
