Dear Parents,

After the long weekend, it is always good to see the students returning, looking smart in their winter uniform as the weather begins to get a little cooler.

This week has been very much a week of meetings and presentations. On Tuesday we welcomed our Parental Advisory Group, made up of parents both current and of our alumni. We discussed our current success and also future developments and ideas. Which brings me on to our presentation from Graeme Crawford, President of the Inspired Group, who gave us a fantastic presentation about the group and its plans for all of the King’s schools. This was very warmly received by all those present – exciting times ahead!

As always a few notices….

Uniform and the shop

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our pupils come to school in the correct uniform and looking smart. To this end, please do remember that the shop will soon be moving to card-only payments. Many thanks.

Before School Supervision

As I mentioned previously, we have been taking a register of pupils arriving to school before 9am and will be writing to you shortly regarding charges for before-school care. If you would like to register for this service, or had forgotten to do so previously, please do contact Marta Romero at reception. Thank you in advance.

Secondary Google Classroom

A further reminder that you will have received instructions regarding access to Google Classroom. Further information can be found here:

Please remember that we are also running a Google Classroom Presentation and Q&A session on Wednesday 20th November at 3.40 pm to get your feedback and answer queries after a few weeks of this function being in use.

Spanish University Entrance for all parents  (repeat of previous presentation)

For all those parents who missed the opportunity last time, Sr Puente will be once again giving us his presentation about transfer to Spanish universities with A-levels. The presentation will be held directly after the Google Classroom presentation on Wednesday 20th November at 4.45pm. This presentation is aimed at all parents. We look forward to welcoming many of you there.

Over the next few weeks I will be involved in a series of meetings, first in Madrid and then in the UK. So please do be aware that Mr Snowden will deputise in my absence. This weekend we will be remembering all those who have lost their lives in conflict around the world.

I hope you enjoy a restful and peaceful weekend.
