Dear Parents,

In this shortened week, we have enjoyed our annual Halloween parade, with EYFS and KS1 in all their finery, as well as some of our older pupils! I was glad to see a few individuals had recycled their costumes, thinking about the environment and the pollutive effects of discarded costumes and their manufacture.

As always a few notices….

Inspired Education Presentation 6th Nov 1800

Thank you to all those who have sent a response to our invite for next week’s presentation from Inspired. Despite yesterday’s deadline, if you would like to come and hear about this exciting merger with King’s Group and future plans for our school and the group, then please could you inform reception as soon as possible and before the day. There will be a translator available for the presentation and refreshments served afterwards. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Uniform

We have noticed that wristbands and other non-uniform items are creeping back into circulation. In keeping with King’s Group policy, no wristbands of any kind will be allowed to be worn and any bangles or visible necklaces will also need to be removed. Also, hooded tops (except school trip issued ones) are not part of school uniform. Please could you remind your child accordingly to avoid any confusion from Monday onwards. Many thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Also, a further reminder that we will be switching to winter uniform on Monday 4th November. Please do refer to our website here if you are unsure, or just ‘pop in’ and speak with Miriam in the shop at 968033539.

Before School Supervision

We have noticed an increasing number of older pupils who are not registered for ‘before school’ supervision arriving at school before 9am. Please can I remind parents that if you require this service, then please do let us know so that we can update our registers. Also, please be advised that for Health and Safety reasons we are taking a register of the early arrivals and will be assuming they are using this service, with the concomitant daily charges being applied. Many thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

Secondary Google Classroom

A reminder that you will have received instructions regarding access to Google Classroom. Further information can be found here:

Please remember that we are also running a Google Classroom Presentation and Q&A session on Wednesday 20th November at 3.40 pm to get your feedback and answer queries after a few weeks of this function being in use.
