This week we welcomed parents from Primary to our regular Coffee Morning – my thanks to those parents who attended. As ever we very much value your input and support and it was great to hear how we could continue to improve our provision.
By no means least, today we enjoyed our annual Sports Day, with its significant date change – it was only a few months ago that we celebrated our last one! At the same time, we have been raising awareness of Breast Cancer through ‘Wear it Pink’, with many of the children wearing pink ribbons with their house shirts. At the time of writing, the day has not finished yet and so we do not know which House has won. However, I was very impressed with the perseverance of our pupils and the hard work that they had put in to representing their respective Houses – well done to all!
Thank you to all parents who have kindly donated raffle prizes for our forthcoming fundraiser concert on Friday 25th October. There will be a number of acts from Key Stage 1 all the way up to Key Stage 4, as well as refreshments for sale throughout the concert, all in aid of the flood victims in our region.
A few notices….
By now you will have heard the exciting news that King’s Group has merged with Inspired Education Group. All the details are in the letter from Sir Roger, so I won’t repeat them. However, suffice it to say this is a very exciting time for our school and the Group. Of course, things will continue as normal, as Sir Roger says. But if you do have any concerns please do come and see me. In the meantime, please do take a look at their website, here.
As mentioned above, next week we will be holding a charity fundraising concert for the flood victims, to be held on Friday 25th October at 3pm. If you still have any donations for the raffle, please could you bring them to reception as soon as possible. Many thanks in advance and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
I am pleased to say that we will soon be welcoming our new Dibujo Técnico for Específicas teacher; we are just going through the final checks now. Sr Franco is very much looking forward to joining us here at KCM.
On a sadder note, Mr Hope is away for a little while due to a sudden bereavement. Of course, our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time. Mr Laing will be taking Mr Hope’s Business classes until his return.
A further reminder that we will be changing to winter uniform after the long weekend; that is to say, from Monday 4th November. Therefore, please do take this opportunity to visit the shop as necessary. Many thanks.
