Dear Parents,

I hope that you are all safe and have not been too adversely affected by the severe weather that descended on us these last few days. Having been in the UK this week attending a board meeting for the AoBSO, it was a bumpy ride home to Murcia as we flew into the storm on Thursday. The area around school has flooded, though our school is alright at the moment and we will continue work over the weekend.  We are confident that school will resume as normal on Monday.

This week we welcomed Sr. Domingo Martínez to our KCM family as our new chef.  Sr Martinez is very much looking forward to working with us as we continue to improve our provision.

School Uniform

A further reminder to parents to ensure their child is wearing the correct uniform to school; this includes shoes. Please visit our website Here for further details. Many thanks.

Class Presentations

Thank you to all those parents that have been attending our class presentations this week. Of course, due to the school closure, we will be rescheduling our Y10 and 12 presentation and also our presentation for Y2. Provisional dates are given below.

New shades in the play area

Over the course of this weekend, engineers will be completing the new shades in the triangular patio. This additional shade will provide a welcome release from the heat on very sunny days.

After an extensive interview process, I am very happy to announce Mrs Rumistrzewicz as our new Music teacher for this academic year. Many of you will know Mrs Rumistrzewicz from her numerous compositions and performances during her time here at KCM. Mrs Rumistrzewicz will also continue her role in Year 1 this year, without any adjustments.

World Peace Day – Friday 20th September

You will shortly be receiving a letter from Mrs Rumistrzewicz regarding World Peace Day next week. Similarly to last year, Primary children will be performing and all parents are invited to attend and, indeed, join in the singing at 1545 that afternoon! See you all there.

Tues 17 Sept 16.00 Y2 Parents’ presentation

Thurs 19 Sept 16.45 Y7 Parents’ Welcome meeting

Fri.     20 Sept           15.45 World Peace Day

Please note that we will be re-scheduling the Y10 & 12 Presentation and will inform you in due course.

And further to government warnings, please do stay safe this weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Best wishes,

Mr Rumistrzewicz
