In this shortened week some of our older pupils enjoyed the last inter-school competition of the academic year, the inter school’s padel competition. Do look out for the article on our website. Also, on Friday we welcomed back our weary, but very happy, Year 6 pupils from their annual Alicante trip.
On Tuesday, I travelled to Madrid, as you know, to say farewell to Mrs Akyurek, the King’s Group Chief Academic Officer. Mrs Akyurek has been working closely with all the schools in King’s Group, not least our own, in our continued drive to provide the best British education internationally. She will be succeeded by Mr Fossey, who is currently the headteacher of King’s College La Moraleja. I am very much looking forward to working with him in the future.
Our Year 11 pupils are looking forward to the end of their GCSE examinations today, though our 6th formers still have 10 days to go. Also as I write this to you, a large proportion of our older students are enjoying a day at the beach – despite the wet start!
So, much still going on as the academic year draws to a close.
A short letter this week, but please do take note of next week’s events…there are a few!
If you are interested in attending our annual Summer School or, indeed, if your friends or family wish to attend, then please do contact either Isabel at reception, or Mr McIntyre at the following email addresses. Many thanks.
