This week our younger pupils enjoyed their trip to Rio Safari and having the opportunity to see a large number of different species that you could never see, without travelling far and wide around the world. Please do look out for our article on the trip on our website.
This will be a final week of public examinations, before a week-long hiatus, as UK schools enjoy their half-term break. Of course, we will be continuing lessons as usual and our examinees will have the opportunity to come in to school to have focussed lessons in preparation for the ‘final push’ into June.
As always a few notices….
I know you all received a reminder yesterday, but just to say that there are only 3 weeks remaining until the survey closes. If you have not yet had the opportunity, please do complete it as soon as possible as we would very much appreciate your feedback. Many thanks.
My thanks to all those parents who attended the Music Recital yesterday. I know that there were some excellent performances and several of the pupils who watched were truly inspired.
On Monday our representative from Nexalia will be coming in to talk with pupils during the day. He would like to speak with parents after school from 1630. If you are available, please do come along as we would welcome your feedback. Many thanks.
A reminder that we have a range of courses on offer in July again this year at our summer school, including a new course for Science in English for pupils aged 8-15, as well as the courses we started last year for Art and Photography in English and Robotics in English. We have something for most age groups, so please do go to our website where you will find the ‘Summer School’ tab at the top. Please don’t hesitate to contact our administration team or Mr Ewen McIntyre at the email addresses below with any further questions once you have had a look through.
I would like to apologise for the delay in the publication of the school calendar for next year. Unfortunately, there have been some complications with regard to local holidays next year for which we are awaiting confirmation. However, our provisional start date is Monday 2nd September, with the end of term very likely to be 20th December. I trust I will receive confirmation of this and other dates next week. Thank you for your patience.
If your son or daughter uses the bus, then you will be aware that we have an ‘App’ called ‘Traceus’. This is an extremely useful tool for locating buses and communicating and so on. If you have not done so already, please contact reception to organise details.
This is just to give advance notice that the school shop will be closed for a week, from Mon 17th to Fri 21st June. It will re-open as normal the following week.

A thank you to our Local Advisory Group members who met with the King’s Group CAO, Mrs Akyurek and the soon-to-be CAO, Mr Fossey, last night. As always their help and guidance throughout this year and in previous years, has been a huge asset.
I trust you will enjoy your weekend.
