Dear Parents,

Today, on the Brexit day ‘that never was’, we celebrated our annual  Interhouse Road Race, in support of AFACMUR, the children’s cancer charity. As ever it was great to see so many parents supporting their children, but also the competitive spirit of each house. This year was run differently, with each age group running separately on different lengths of course. At the time of writing, I do not yet have the final results, but they will be available shortly on our website.

Also today we welcomed a number of families to our Early Years Open morning. The parents and their children got ‘stuck in’ straightaway in various activities in the different classrooms in Early Years and very much enjoyed their time – their children did too!

I would like to thank all the parents of Years 3 and 4 who came to our meeting this week. It was extremely informative and also very useful in terms of feedback and how we can look to improve our provision further. More meetings to come soon and thank you in advance for all your help and support.

A  few things this week….

A reminder we now have an officially translated version of our inspection report available on our website. You can download it here.

Our school undertook what was to be an extremely successful inspection towards the end of October. The report has been available on our website (and at the DfE website in UK) since December, but only in English. Now, we hope many more of you will be able to enjoy our success with us as the only DfE accredited school in the region and the only ‘Outstanding’ one too!

Please can I remind parents not to come into school without speaking with the staff on reception. We have had a number of incidents in recent months where parents have walked straight down the Key Stage 2 corridor and to classroom. I am sure you will understand that this is a safety and, indeed, a child protection issue and so we would like to remind parents not to walk down the corridors during the school day unaccompanied. Many thanks.

A further reminder from the other week that Summer Uniform is scheduled to start next week, Mon 1st April.

This week we welcomed two new Spanish teachers, Sra Campillo and Sr Sanchez. They have very much enjoyed working with the children this week and speaking with some of you. Please do ‘pop’ in and see them as they would be more than happy to speak with you and get a chance to know our KCM family even better.

All Year Group reports (except Pre-Nursery) are now available on the Parent Portal in the usual manner.
