Dear Parents,
Well, what a week it has been. From salsa dancing, to going down a mine, to mirror painting and sitting in a fighter jet, it’s certainly been a busy week. Not least, our amazing 50th anniversary celebration….What a lovely afternoon it was and a fantastic testament to the school and the history of the group. I do hope we will be able to return in 25 years’ time to re-open the capsule….Will the technology still exist to actually watch the presentation on the pendrive, or will we need to dust off from storage an old machine called a ‘PC’ to try an access it? We shall see in 2044. Please do continue to follow events throughout our 50th anniversary year on Twitter and on our website.
Last week, as you know, I was in Madrid with our scholars, celebrating the Scholars’ Dinner. Another lovely event, held annually, in which our pupils were once again a shining example to all. Sir Roger gave a rousing speech, much like the presentation during our celebration this week, and commented on our school’s recent successes, especially the recent inspection in October (see full report here), as well as the outstanding exam results all the scholars have achieved.
PRIMARY HEAD BOY AND HEAD GIRL
I am very happy to announce our school’s first Primary Head Boy and Girl. This year, our Primary Heads are:
Nicholas H. and Maria C.
They will be ably supported by their deputies: Carlos L. and Ines C.
Well done to them. I know that they will be working closely with our Pupil Voice groups and with our Senior Head Boys and Girls and are very much looking forward to it.
CAREERS ADVICE FOR YEARS 9,10 AND 11
A big ‘thank you’ to all those parents that came in during this Enrichment Week to offer Career advice and talks to our older pupils. I know they very much enjoyed it and it gave them much ‘food for thought’.

Have a great weekend.
