This week we have seen more of a return to routine, being the first full week of term. On Wednesday, our Pupil Voice representatives from across the school met with representatives from our caterers, Nexalia, to discuss the menus and ways to continue to improve our school meals. I know that Nexalia found this meeting extremely useful and informative and they mentioned to me that these meetings will become a regular feature.
A few things….
CAREERS ADVICE FOR YEARS 9,10 AND 11
During Enrichment Week (4th Feb to 8th Feb) this year, we would like ask any parents if they would be willing to come in and speak about their careers to Years 9 to 11 .
If you are interested, please could you contact Dr Browne via email at: email@example.com. Many thanks in advance for your help.
A-LEVEL OPTIONS PRESENTATION
As you know, selecting A-levels that your child will be taking is an extremely important decision that can affect their future studies at university. Every year, we give a presentation regarding this important decision-making step. This year, the presentation will take place on Monday 28th January and will be repeated the following day during Coffee Morning. We recommend that all Year 11 parents attend, though it may also be of interest to those in Year 10. Many thanks.
KING’S GROUP 50th ANNIVERSARY
By now, I hope you will have had an opportunity to see our new website and, indeed, the new look King’s Group website I mentioned in last week’s letter. As I said previously, on Thursday 7th February (during Enrichment Week) we will be burying a time capsule to commemorate the occasion. More on this soon…..
A reminder that there will be a school Open Day on Friday 25th January at 9.45 am. Please do spread the word among any acquaintances, friends or relatives that might be interested in enrolling their children in our school. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for confirmation.
We were very happy to see Mrs Brett return to us this week, though unfortunately Mr Laing is still unable to return. As you may expect, Miss Pickard will continue to cover his lessons in his absence and Mr Snowden and I will continue to oversee the 6th Form.
